Whats worse completely off key or only slightly - I think we get a taste of both in this Scarlet Begonias.

A good show BTW

Here's my 'ducat' offering. You guys reminded me of it with your Donna comments:

She is so locked in on this Row Jimmy that it is spine-tingling. Yes, I know she's loud/out-of-tune at times... but not this time. The rest of the show is a blast as well, and the recording is as clear as a bell.

Yep, I think that Scarlet maybe her worst moment ever or at least the worst I have heard. It is so bad I find it comical.

I was listening to the 12/14/80 Long Beach show yesterday. Flora Purim was messing with the band from Drums>Space>TOO. Dang, what a difference! Too bad the GD didn't make her an offer she couldn't refuse. :)

my brother and I have always joked that Dolby could have made a killing from Deadheads if they had come up with another noise canceling setting other than Dolby "D" and "C"

It would be called Dolby "D"! Just hit it and her voice is immediately wiped out from that post Playin' jam, or that Scarlet Begonias where she is trying to sing in harmony with Jerry's solo!

This is entirely possible using modern technology. High end commucations radios are equipped with a pass-band filter. You could actually null Donna's voice out of a Grateful Dead as you listen to it on a shortwave or AM radio station. Now if somebody would just apply this technology to a computer software program and we could do the same thing here too...
